Fall Fashion Refresh

Fall Brunch Outfit

PSLs are back on the menu, thus the unofficial kickoff of fall, right? Really, in my house, the first NFL week signals the fall, and the start cooking season. More on that to come…

It also means finding a way to wear the perfect floppy black hat that my always-the-most-stylish-friend Olivia gave me for my birthday in July. I own most of the other items here from Gap due to a major pre-fall spree during their sales last month. And I found the perfect black bootie at Nordstrom Rack a few months ago (still available).

The accessories – especially that purse – are not yet mine. Maybe one day. Or I’ll find a similar style and make it work! I’m heading to Vail for Octoberfest and this outfit will be packed along. Perfect for a chilly evening or brunch in the village before it warms up for the day. Cheers to 90 degree days in Denver where we dream about fall… ahem, today.

xx.

Travel Wishes (on Sale)

Kate Spade sale with lots of travel goodies ends tonight! Just a few days after I learn that I’ll be traveling to Mexico City in the next couple months. Coincidence? I think not. If only the Playing Hooky bag was available…

The cross-body bag feels right for museums. This necklace may be coming home with me, too. And the casual skinny wallet that’s perfect for tossing in a bigger day bag with my camera, sliding into the cross-body with my museum guides and little memories (napkins, matchbooks, tickets, etc.) or carrying by itself for an evening out!

Excited to start planning my visit to the beautiful country of Mexico in the next few weeks!

(links are to the sale .. which expires in 4 hours. that’s probably annoying. sorry. hopefully I’ll update them later this week!)

Bon Voyage Necklace, Kate Spade
I’ll take one.
Santa Roalia Scout
Versatile for exploring, safe cross-body, great details.
A wallet for all the time, a stylish clutch for nights out!

NYFW Photography: The Greyest Ghost

Street-style fashion blogs are typically my favorites when I’m looking for a bit of international inspiration – especially out of Europe – but I want to highlight a fashion photographer that I’ve been following for a few years now. She’s incredible. So incredible that I can’t even share one of her photos here — they’re too good and should all viewed back to back on her site.

The Greyest Ghost is fashion photographer Rachel Scroggins’ “visual diary.” Cannot recommend it enough. I look forward to her fashion week coverage more than my regular glossies. She’s a talented photographer, but my favorite part of following her blog? The behind the scenes shots of the hair and makeup being applied to the models! The finishing touches on designers pieces! Seeing the final pictures of the models on the runway!

Her recent post blew my mind, get ready to visit “wonderland” at Thom Browne NYFW 2013. Oscar de la Renta and some spectacular hair in the first few sets, not to mention clothes. After that, you’ll absolutely want to skim through the recaps from each day – FW Day 8, FW Day 7, FW Day 6. You get the point.

It is so good. Go check her out. Thank me later.

XOXO
